Whether designed to include a 401(k) feature or not, these discretionary plans have a lot of flexibility in their design; prototype plans are also available to reduce the planning and administrative burden on your end.

We can facilitate your selling of company stock and then reinvesting the proceeds in a balanced portfolio or a long-term investment strategy that is in line with your risk tolerance, timeframe, market conditions, etc.

Withholding a portion of an employee’s pay until a specified date, usually retirement, these plans might include pensions, retirement plans, and employee stock options. We tailor your program to address your needs and it may include one of both of these options:

NON-QUALIFIED PLAN
A written agreement between you and your employee in which part of the employee’s compensation is withheld by your company, invested, and then given to the employee at some point in the future. These plans don’t have contribution limits and can be targeted just to certain employees, such as top executives, as an added incentive or compensation benefit.

QUALIFIED PLAN
A qualified deferred compensation plan complies with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and includes 401(k) and 403(b) plans. These do have contribution limits and, in order to be nondiscriminatory, are open to any employee of the company and beneficial to all. They are also more secure, being held in a trust account.

An offering for publicly traded companies, we can structure and manage your ESPP based on your discretion, allowing employees to purchase company stock at a rate of your choosing. Give workers ownership interest in the company to perhaps facilitate succession planning.

We structure, manage, and facilitate your corporate stock offerings—and help your employees exercise their options.

STOCK OPTIONS
A stock option lets you allow employees to purchase equity in your company at a determined price and within a certain window of time. Generally, one stock option contract represents 100 shares of the firm.

RESTRICTED STOCK UNITS (RSUs)
Similar to stock options, RSUs can be used to incent your employees, awarding individuals for meeting performance requirements, or for years-of- service milestones. We can help you structure your RSUs your way, committing to giving an employee a designated amount of stock in the company when certain requirements are fulfilled. You decide: RSUs can either be awarded in actual shares or the cash equivalent based on what the stock is worth at that point.
